Service Structure:
Please note that very limited spaces are available for the GurneyGears coaching service for 2009.
For $180 (incl GST) per four weeks service you get
comprehensive training guidelines including a detailed training program
(see an example
program)
leading up to your
chosen goal or race, plus email backup and support. You
can ask questions, have your program modified, get training/competing
advice.
The first step is always the hardest so here's a leg up.
-
Contact the coach, coach@gurneygears.com Ian Edmond.
-
Ian will collate relevant information from you.
-
You pay for the coaching service by internet banking or check.
-
You will be emailed a customised, tailored to you, program.

You're on your way to a rewarding endurance experience.
-
Ongoing fine tuning/feedback as necessary
- The coaching service is set up to be email only.
- Kayak technique analysis can
give you tremendous gains in paddling efficiency and effectiveness (and therefor speed!!).
Using high definition film and sophisticated computer software your
technique is dissected, studied, and compared to an elite paddler to find crucial areas of improvement. You
are then sent a CD with your film and a document with the analysis and
recommendations. Money very well spent! The cost is $100. For two or more people being filmed in the same session it is $80 per person.

GurneyGears Coaching Testimonials
The programs and literature I recieved was exceptional, fun, easy to follow & got the results. Ian gave me the direction I needed to get me out of a big "Motivational Downer" I was experiencing at the beginning of our tenure, say no more!! Cheers Ian. You guys are cool! S.B. TaupoJust wanted to say a huge thank you for all your help, advice and of course the programme over the last few months. It has been invaluable. All the supplementary notes were fantastic also. Overall a great service! If you need a reference for the website I would be more than happy! N.W. Christchurch
I provided Ian with an idea of the amount of time I could commit to a training programme. He provided me with a program that was both achievable given my other commitments and yet prepared me for the event I had entered. R.H. Taupo
I feel the service is pretty good value for money and has helped me immensely. This is my first C2C and at the ripe age of 43 with only a couple of years of half marathons and half ironmans behind me I found the coaching program extremely valuable and motivating. The results so far are great. K.M. Hastings Hastings
The Coast was a fantastic experience. You made the impossible possible and I am still not sure how you did it. I want to thank you so much for your programme. I worried that I wasn't doing enough training as you know but obviously I was as I felt great the day after the event. V.R. Auckland
Thanks for all your help and support over the last year or so, you run a fantastic service and with my self-motivation levels would have had me watching from the side lines by about May!!!!
